Perpetual Calendar for Responsibility of
Shabbat & Festival Hospitality Desk Staffing
The minyan named below next to each month
is responsible for supplying a person (or persons) to staff
the West 100th Street lobby hospitality desk
from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Shabbat and festival (not Rosh
Hashanah or Yom Kippur) mornings.
As with current practice, during the months
that Minyan Rimonim and the Westside Minyan are jointly
responsible, the minyan that is meeting on a particular
day is the minyan responsible for staffing the table that
day. If Minyan Rimonim normally meets on the 1st
and 3rd Shabbat of the month then it is responsible
for staffing the table on those days even if it elects to
not meet on one of those days (i.e. if the minyan decides
not to meet when the weekend coincides with a major secular
holiday). Also, when there is a fifth Shabbat or a festival
during the month and neither the Westside Minyan or Minyan
Rimonim is meeting then it is up to the minyans to work
out which minyan is responsible for staffing the desk on
those days.
